CHN Executive Leadership - Marc Craig, President

A passionate advocate forcreating sustainable, inclusive communities, Marc Craig has been involved in the affordable housing sector for more than 25 years. In 1991, he founded Springhill Housing Corporation, a certified Community Housing Development Organization (CHDO) receiving HOME funds and a sponsor of HUD Section 811 grants, Federal Home Loan Bank programs, and others. He went on to become the foundingpresident of Community Housing Network where he continues to lead. He has been proud to direct the rapid growth of the organization, from three staff members in 2001 to more than 80 today, a testament to the tremendous need for affordable housing in the region.   more

CHN Executive Leadership - Dawn Pischel, J.D., Vice President of Operations

Dawn Pischel is responsible for overseeing Community Housing Network's operations and administration, as well as program and policy development and implementation. An avid advocate for people in need, she has extensive experience helping people with disabilities plan their housing and support needs. She holds a license with the State Bar of Michigan as a member of the Real Estate Law Section, with both state and federal jurisdictions, and served as Staff Attorney for The Arc of Oakland County for five years before joining Community Housing Network. She holds a Michigan Real Estate Broker's License and is an active member of the North Oakland County Board of Realtors.   more

CHN Executive Leadership - Kirsten Elliott, Vice President of Development

Kirsten Elliott is an experienced administrator of project and program development. Since 2001, she has spearheaded the creation of more than 675 units of affordable housing using a variety of resources, including HUD Supportive Housing Program funding, HOME Investment Partnerships Program funding, and the HUD Section 811 Housing for Persons with Disabilities Program; Federal Home Loan Bank Affordable Housing Program grant funding; Michigan State Housing Development Authority (MSHDA) program funding; and additional national and local resources. She is currently working on CHN's first multifamily housing initiative using resources from the Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) program, for which CHN received its first reservation from MSHDA in 2011.   more
