Affordable Housing Development

Community Housing Network actively seeks out opportunities to work with local, state and federal entities to create new affordable housing stock, with an end goal of increasing the number of affordable housing units for people with disabilities and others in need of housing.

Since 2001, we have created more than 698 units of affordable housing using a variety of resources, including:

  • HUD Supportive Housing Program funding
  • HOME Investment Partnerships Program funding
  • The Section 811 Housing for Persons with Disabilities Program

This is a unique opportunity! In many cases, the total monthly housing cost on these homes may be less than you are currently paying to rent.

Why is this a great opportunity?

The combination of current real estate values, low interest rates, and federal investment in the revitalization of Pontiac has created this unique homeownership opportunity.

The federally-funded Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP) is designed to re-ignite local neighborhoods and economies. This funding in Pontiac will enable low- and moderate- income households to purchase brand new, high-end homes at starter home prices in the Unity Park neighborhood. In many cases, the total monthly housing cost for these new homeowners will be less than they are currently paying to rent.

Construction is well under way on these 12 homes! Grab this opportunity while it's still available.
