Section 8 /Housing Choice Vouchers

Section 8, also called "Section 8 Vouchers" and "Housing Choice Vouchers," is a tool the federal government provides to make housing affordable for the most vulnerable citizens. It is one of the most popular housing programs to assist families with very low-income to maintain affordable housing. Since housing assistance is provided on behalf of the family or individual, participants are able to find their own housing, including single-family homes, townhouses and apartments.

Section 8 and Housing Choice Vouchers: How Can Community Housing Network Help?

The Housing Resource Center at Community Housing Network works to develop and maintain relationships with the public housing authorities and public housing commissions (administrators of Section 8 vouchers) to ensure that they are Section 504 compliant with regard to notification of when a Section 8 list opens up.
