HPRP Assistance

Community Housing Network is pleased to announce that we have received federal funds through the Homeless Prevention and Rapid Re-Housing Program (HPRP) in both Oakland and Macomb counties. We will be working together with community partners to ensure our community maximizes this new resource to serve those in economic crisis.

The focus of this program is to provide housing stabilization by providing temporary financial assistance and/or services to help people become stable in their housing. It may also be used as temporary assistance to bridge to self sufficiency.

Financial assistance may include short-term help with rental assistance and utilities. Other services that can be provided to qualifying HPRP participants include housing case management, assistance locating long-term affordable housing, and linking to other community partners and services.

The intent is to serve persons who are homeless or would be homeless but for this assistance and can remain stably housed after the temporary assistance ends. This program is not designed for mortgage/foreclosure prevention, or intended to serve people in need of long-term/intensive supports.
