Vice President/Chief Financial Officer
Carrie Mendoza is responsible for directing the fiscal functions of the organization in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
She has more than 13 years of experience providing assurance, tax and business consulting services for not-for-profit organizations with strong technical skills in accounting/audits, and extensive involvement as a leader for organization-based projects and teams. Carrie served as manager for Plante Moran before joining Community Housing Network.
Among her professional designations and organizations are: Certified Public Accountant – State of Michigan; member American institute of Certified Public Accountants; and Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants, where she served as a member of the Employee Benefits Task Force. Carrie was a speaker at the Compensation and Benefits Conference of the American Society of Employers; and a speaker at the Audits of Employee Benefit Plans Conference of the MICPA. She is a Leadership Oakland alumna and a member of the National Association of Professional Women.
