Accessibility Initiative – The Accessibility Committee was created to promote accessibility and remove barriers throughout CHN. The committee addresses accessibility concerns to enhance the quality of life for those served in our programs and services, implement nondiscriminatory employment practices, meet legal and regulatory requirements, and to meet the expectations of stakeholders in the area of accessibility. Diversity Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Initiative – The Diversity Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Committee was founded in 2018. Since then, the committee has grown in both size and awareness. The role of the DEI committee is to create a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace in order to provide better services for participants and staff. Utilize a trauma informed approach to build rapport with vulnerable populations. Trauma Initiative – The role of the Trauma Committee includes providing ongoing input and direction in the initial organizational assessment, planning and implementation of trauma expertise into service delivery, development of trauma-informed policies and procedures, and ongoing reevaluations of CHN culture, among other responsibilities.
