The Independent Living Club provides ongoing support for people with disabilities who live, or would like to live, independently. Members learn together and provide mutual encouragement and advice.

The Independent Living Club is an ongoing program of education, self help, and mutual support for people with disabilities who own a home, rent a home, or have a goal of living independently.

Topics of discussion include but are not limited to the following:

  • Money managementMan and woman independent living club
  • Weatherization
  • Fire safety
  • Insurance information
  • Shopping tips and guidelines
  • Maintenance
  • Minor home repair

Who is eligible?

The Independent Living Club is designed for people who receive services from Community Mental Health. Friends, family members, and support coordinators/case managers are also welcome.
