VOCA serves victims of domestic violence, human trafficking, child abuse, sexual abuse, rape, hate crimes, discrimination, robbery, assault, theft, burglary and survivors of homicide. The program offers victims a safe place to stay (or puts them in a hotel until they find them shelter) and helps with healing and justice by providing case management, mental health recovery, counseling, psychiatric services, legal advocacy and services: divorce, documents, child custody and child support.
The VOCA Program offers victims full support from the first step—including parent skills training, referrals for medical services, help applying for jobs, transportation, clothes, food—everything they need until the participant feels they are self-sufficient and no longer need assistance from the program.
