2023 is off to a great start. We have recently launched our new website, and along with it, a new blog. With several posts featured each month, our blog will include articles from our staff to inspire, educate, and make you think about housing issues in new ways.

We hope you will enjoy what we have planned. The goals of the blog are to:

  • Build commitment to Community Housing Network’s mission and impact. Through our stories and program information, you can see for yourself what we are doing and how we are making a difference.
  • Share insights to spark ideas for strategies to close the gaps of inequity and make housing more affordable and accessible to all.
  • Lend our voice and commitment to efforts that build collective support.
  • Share information about the housing services and community education we provide related to home ownership, your rights, and ways we can help.
  • Shed light on thought-provoking topics from our President Marc Craig. Believe me, you are going to gain a new perspective from his insights about the systemic barriers to housing, Michigan’s history, and his vision for the future.

I am personally looking forward to sharing my thoughts about Community Housing Network’s vital work in homelessness prevention and housing assistance as well as local and national housing issues facing all of us. I am so proud of our many collaborative accomplishments, especially given the scarcity of resources confronting us. Overall we are aiming to unite our partners and community with our perspectives and information that will be presented in this new communication effort. We believe that together we can find and provide the best available housing solutions and ultimately end homelessness.
