Through our Housing Resource Center we provide services for individuals and families in a housing crisis, fleeing domestic violence, or experiencing homelessness. We also provide information about additional resources for people experiencing a housing crisis in our area below.

Emergency Crisis Assistance

If you are facing a crisis that may put your current housing at risk, we may be able to help. You can reach us by:

  • Completing the Housing Needs Information Request found here, OR
  • Leaving us a message at 248-269-1335 or (toll-free) 1-866-282-3119, OR
  • Texting “housing” to 248-269-1335, OR
  • Sending an email to HRC@chninc.net

Filling out the Housing Needs Information Request is the fastest way to provide our specialists with information about your current needs. You can expect to hear back from us within two business days.

Our information request process will help us determine your eligibility and connect you with appropriate services in Oakland County. If you live outside of Oakland County, we may be able to help you find resources and services in your area.

Additional Resources

We provide additional resources for people in a housing challenge, including referrals to Homeless Services, Shelters, Housing Choice Alert List, and Subsidized Housing Lists. We also provide programs for homeowners and renters to learn more about buying and maintaining a home.
