Our work is rooted in the idea that decent, affordable, and stable housing is a necessary foundation for a healthy, successful life. Community Housing Network has a demonstrated track record and depth of experience in housing development, crisis response, supportive services, homeownership programming and homeless response spanning more than two decades across Oakland, Macomb and Wayne counties.

Volunteer Mobilization
THANK YOU to the incredible 193 volunteers and interns we have had the pleasure to work with over the past year! Their collective 3,172 hours of volunteer work have enabled us to do amazing things in our local communities - such as build community gardens, clean up and refurbish local parks, host events for children residing in our communities, and complete beautification projects at our housing developments.
900Units Added
Affordable Housing Development
CHN has added nearly 900 units of affordable housing to the landscape across Michigan, and we continue to actively seek opportunities to create high-quality residential rental homes.
402People Served
Rapid Rehousing
The Rapid Rehousing program helps vulnerable families coming from homelessness with a rental subsidy for up to 12 months. During this program year, 402 individuals were helped through this program; 34% were children.
265Homeless Individuals
Homeless Street Outreach
The Projects for Assistance in Transition from Homelessness (PATH) program serves the most vulnerable and hard-to-reach people in Oakland and Macomb counties who are homeless and living on the streets. The PATH outreach team connected with 265 homeless individuals in 2022 and enrolled 64% in our program to access community resources.

Homeless Prevention Programs
Our Homeless Prevention Program provides a short-term safety net to prevent people from losing their existing housing and remain housed. In 2022, 119 people were assisted; 52% were children.
545PSH This Year
Permanent Supportive Housing
CHN remained the largest Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) provider in Oakland and Macomb Counties, as well as providing PSH in Wayne County. During the program year, CHN served 545 people, including 164 children, in Leasing Assistance Programs and Shelter Plus Care.
100+Referrals
Support Services For People With Disabilities
Oakland Housing Link is a collaborative project between Community Housing Network (CHN) and Oakland Community Health Network (OCHN) that connects individuals and case managers to licensed and unlicensed "group homes" in Oakland County. OHLink provides referral services to 100 individuals each year and responds to an average of 30 individuals looking for roommates in our area.
345Households Served
Homebuyer & Financial Education
In 2022, 345 households were served through Homebuyer and Financial Education programs and an additional 116 households received counseling from Certified Housing Counselors.
20KCalls Per Year
Housing Programs & Services
At the HRC, we answer over 20,000 calls annually. Our caring Housing Navigators, Case Managers, and Housing Educators work one-on-one with individuals and families to find affordable housing, short-term and long-term rentals, homeownership options, and supportive and accessible homes for people with disabilities.
