Affordable Housing

We believe all members of society deserve equal access to a safe and secure home. Community Housing Network builds affordable, accessible housing for people across Michigan who are experiencing crisis, homelessness, or facing obstacles due to a disability, income, or hardship.

Our Housing Developments

CHN has added nearly 900 units of affordable housing to the landscape in Michigan. With more projects underway, CHN continues to actively seek opportunities to work with local, state and federal entities to create high-quality, residential rental homes for hard-working families and individuals.

Creating Homes

Through a wide variety of housing models and funding sources, CHN has created and/or preserved over 600 units of affordable housing, including:

  • Private market rental apartments
  • Rental homes and condominiums
  • Licensed and unlicensed group homes
  • Single-family homes

Building Communities

CHN has developed ten housing communities with 295 units for low income-families and individuals and people with disabilities using Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) reservations. Each community was built from the ground up, transforming a blighted area into an attractive, affordable, thriving community.
